Have you stood ankle-deep
in the ocean,
staring out to the horizon,
while a red sun swelled up
from a green sea and pushed
its way up into a violet sky?
Do.
Have you sat on the dunes
just before a storm,
while the wind whipped
your hair and seagulls
screamed against the wind
and grey waves churned and
crashed on the shore?
Do.
Have you lain on the sand
in the moonlight
while the sea was smooth
as glass, breathing
in the salt-smell
of the air and tasting
it on your lover's skin?
Do.
