Cinnamon Tree
She leans back
against the cinnamon tree
and raises a supple arm
to the blue-black sky.
Moonlight drips like milk
from her fingertips,
down the smooth darkness
of her arm.
Frangipani is on the air,
carried by a breeze
that whispers in her
jeweled ear.
Her black eyes flash
in the night, and she's
leaning back against
the cinnamon tree,
drinking up the moonlight.
